Rachel and Mike’s First Dance, Live Wedding Painting, at Tunxis Country Club in Farmington, CT 24 x 30″ oil painting

As an artist capturing the essence of Rachel and Mike’s extraordinary day, I am thrilled to share the vibrant tapestry of their wedding at Tunxis Country Club in Farmington. Their celebration was not just a union of two souls but a beautiful reflection of their shared passions, love for literature, nature, good times with friends and adoration for their beloved dog, Tessa. Creating an enchanted forest live wedding painting was my plan.

Setting the Stage

Set against the backdrop of a mid-autumn day in October, the weather embraced their love with gentle showers, creating an atmosphere of intimacy and romance. Rachel and Mike exchanged vows in the back field of Tunis Country Club nestled amidst lush greenery, and surrounded by towering trees.

After the ceremony, the guests gathered under the pavilion, and made their way over to my easel to investigate the canvas. I loved talking and engaging with their guests as they asked interesting questions and chatted about art.

Rachel and Mike’s love for literature was woven into every detail of their day, with stacks of books adorning each table centerpiece. Paired with long candlesticks, bottles of wine, and delicate gem-colored flowers, the ambiance exuded a whimsical charm reminiscent of an enchanted forest.

Their adorable dog, Tessa, added a touch of sweetness to the festivities, her presence a testament to the bond shared between pet and parent.

The couple’s choice of venue was a reflection of their desire for a unique and intimate setting. The pavilion, with its open sides and twinkling lights, provided the perfect blend of outdoor beauty and indoor comfort, allowing guests to dance beneath the stars while staying sheltered from the rain.

Rachel looked beautiful in her elegant gown, while Mike’s unique paisley jacket added a touch of personality to their attire. But it was their first dance that stole the show, they did a beautiful job gracefully moving about on the dance floor.

As their live wedding painter, I had the honor of capturing the magic of their day on canvas, surrounded by family and friends who shared their love for art and creativity. Their testimonial, overflowing with gratitude and joy, speaks volumes about the impact of capturing cherished moments in a timeless work of art.

Best Idea for a Dessert Bar

One standout feature of their day was the dessert station, where guests indulged in a delightful smores bar—a nod to Rachel’s favorite dessert and the cozy outdoor fire pit where guests gathered to share stories and laughter.

Mike and Rachel, thank you for allowing me to be a part of your special day and for entrusting me with the task of painting your love story on canvas. Your wedding was a celebration of love, laughter, and the beauty of shared passions, and I am grateful to have been apart of your special day.

Kind Words from Mike and Rachel:

We absolutely love the painting – we can’t stop oohing over it. You captured it so perfectly . Thank you so so much!! We pulled it out and just… oh man. Even better than we could have thought. It’s incredible.

We hung it in the hallway so we can see it from the living room and when we walk by – it fits perfectly there and is just what we were hoping for. We can’t wait to show it off to everyone who comes over!

Thank you again for being part of our day and capturing it in such a beautiful way!
