A Coastal Love Story Captured on Canvas: Alli & Jordan’s Wedding at Water’s Edge
A Moment Too Beautiful to Forget
A wedding day happens in a heartbeat — months of planning unfold in a single afternoon, and couples often wish they could hold onto those moments forever. That’s why I love creating live paintings. My goal is to pause time, capturing the joy, love, and beauty of a celebration so it can be treasured for generations.
Joy on the Shoreline
On a Saturday in June, Alli and Jordan said “I do” at Water’s Edge Resort & Spa in Westbrook, Connecticut, one of the shoreline’s most breathtaking wedding venues. Although the day began with a few brief sprinkles, the sky cleared just in time for their ceremony. As the pastor pronounced them husband and wife, they walked down the aisle beaming with happiness while guests tossed soft pink rose petals into the air — a moment filled with pure joy.
Painting the Atmosphere of the Day
As a live wedding painter, I set up my easel right on site to capture this joyful scene as it unfolded. I focused on the magical energy of that walk down the aisle — the couple’s radiant smiles, the sea breeze in the air, and the soft coastal light stretching across the gardens. Guests gathered around to watch the painting come to life, especially when I added a special touch: the couple’s beloved dog.
A Timeless Heirloom
After the wedding, I brought the painting back to my studio to refine the details — enhancing the soft sky, the vibrant florals, and the gentle light on the water. On Sunday, I had the joy of delivering the finished piece to Alli and Jordan. Seeing their reaction reminded me why I love what I do. They were thrilled with how beautifully their love story was preserved on canvas.

Where Coastal Beauty Meets Timeless Art
Painting at venues like Water’s Edge connects deeply with my love for Connecticut’s shoreline landscapes, which I’ve spent years capturing in my original artwork. Every wedding I paint along the coast — whether at Water’s Edge, Saybrook Point, or the Inn at Long Shore — is an opportunity to blend the timeless charm of New England’s seaside with the unique story of a couple’s most meaningful day.
Your Love Story on Canvas
If you’re planning a coastal Connecticut wedding, imagine preserving your story in a painting that becomes a cherished family heirloom. A live painting isn’t just art — it’s a way to relive the joy of your wedding day every time you see it.
