On a night filled with joy, tradition, and unforgettable celebration, I had the honor of creating a live event painting for the Lean Family. They were celebrating their twin sons Ari and Maddox as they became Bar Mitzvah at Temple Beth Torah.
This B’nai Mitzvah was truly spectacular—heartfelt speeches, energetic dancing, creative photo booths, and fun activities for the kids filled every corner of the event. The love and excitement in the room were absolutely contagious.
Positioned in the back of the room I had a clear view of the scene. With a 48-inch (4-foot-wide) canvas, to capture the energy and emotion of the evening. Over 40 family members and friends are featured and recognizable in the finished artwork—a vibrant, detailed celebration frozen in time.

I began the painting live during the event, capturing the most joyful and meaningful moments—the twins lifted high during the hora, surrounded by cheering loved ones. Later, the Lean family provided photos from the bartender fire show (which took place after I had packed up for the night), and I incorporated that striking detail in the final studio refinements.

As a live event painter serving Long Island, it’s my joy and purpose to tell the full story of an event—not just what happens in one moment, but the spirit and connections that make the celebration truly unforgettable. Ari and Maddox’s Bar Mitzvah was a beautiful blend of tradition, joy, and family pride.
One of the most touching elements of the evening was how the boys’ life stories were shared on screen—highlighting their journey and individuality. The Lean family went above and beyond to create an event that honored their sons in the most meaningful way.
It was a true joy to witness this milestone and preserve it in a painting the family will treasure for generations.

I’d love to help tell your story through a live event painting. Every commission begins with a conversation—and every brushstroke honors the people and memories that matter most.
