There’s something timeless about Cape Cod — the soft Atlantic light, the windswept beaches, and the charm of towns that feel lovingly preserved in history. As an artist, painting on the Cape feels like stepping into a living canvas. Over the past few years, I’ve had the joy of capturing four unforgettable wedding celebrations across this beautiful stretch of New England coastline — each one uniquely meaningful, yet all infused with that same coastal magic.

A Look Back at Four Cape Weddings

Kasi & Chris – Ocean Edge Resort, Brewster, MA

In this elegant ballroom scene, Kasi and Chris share their first dance surrounded by their wedding party and loved ones. The warm lighting, grand floral arrangements, and sweeping windows create a rich and joyful atmosphere. The moment feels both celebratory and intimate, a memory beautifully preserved in brushwork that invites you into the celebration.

Katie & Quintin – Wequassett Resort, Harwich, MA

Set against a stunning coastal backdrop, this painting captures Katie and Quintin with their baby, Theo, moments after their ceremony. The bride’s veil catches the breeze as sailboats drift along the sparkling bay behind them. It’s a portrait of love, legacy, and new beginnings, painted in soft, romantic tones that reflect the serenity of the Cape shoreline.

Lauren & Ryan – The Ridge Club, Sandwich, MA

Under cascading drapery and glowing chandeliers, Lauren and Ryan share their first dance in an elegant reception hall. The gentle lighting and thoughtful details — from the soft blue accents to the warmly lit tables — bring this quiet, magical moment to life. Their connection is the heart of the composition, framed by the inviting warmth of the room.

Kalie & Chris – Wynchmere Beach Club, Harwich Port, MA

Live Event Painting for Kalie and Chris’ wedding at Wynchmere Beach Club, Cape Cod, MA 24 x 30″ oil painting

With natural light pouring through large windows and a view of boats docked nearby, this painting captures Kalie and Chris in a peaceful, joyful embrace. The clean architectural lines and soft palette highlight the couple’s elegant silhouettes while still offering a relaxed, coastal feel — perfectly echoing the charm of a Cape Cod wedding by the water.

We’re currently preparing a short highlight video from Kalie and Chris’s wedding, which I’ll be sharing here soon — it offers a behind-the-scenes peek into the live painting process and the moment this lovely scene came to life.

More Than Just Painting — It’s an Experience

While painting at Wynchmere, my husband and I turned the weekend into a little working vacation with our dog Sarah. We visited the Black Dog Store in Chatham twice, took long strolls through town, and walked along Forest Beach, even with the wind whipping across the dunes on Sunday morning. There’s something about the Cape’s light — soft, golden, and ever-changing — that inspires me every time. It’s no wonder so many artists have fallen in love with this place.

Each time I return to Cape Cod, I feel more connected to this landscape and the love stories that unfold here. My hope is to become known as the Cape Cod live wedding painter — someone couples trust to preserve their day with beauty, artistry, and heart.
