Live Wedding Painting of Joshly and Emmanuel’s First Kiss at Aria, Prospect, CT in room setting 22 x 28″

A Day of Faith, Joy, and Art at Aria in Prospect, CT

On a rainy Saturday afternoon in Prospect, Connecticut, something truly beautiful unfolded. The rain poured heavily just before Joshly and Emmanuel’s wedding ceremony at Aria, but as guests gathered in the all-white chapel, the clouds began to part and sunlight streamed through the windows—a quiet blessing on a day full of joy and reverence.

Live Wedding Painting at Aria Chapel – CT’s best live painter brings first kiss scene to life

As one of Connecticut’s best live painter, I’ve had the honor of painting many weddings, but this one touched me deeply. The chapel was simple—white walls, white benches, soft light. For an artist, that presents a challenge: how do you bring dimension and warmth into a setting so minimal? But with light filtering through the windows and the emotion in the room building, everything fell into place.

Joshly and Emmanuel’s ceremony was filled with heartfelt moments, but one stood out above all—the couple and their guests lifting their voices in worship as they sang The Goodness of God in both English and Spanish. Even though I didn’t understand the words of the pastor’s blessing, I felt the love, devotion, and sacredness in every note and expression. It was one of the most moving ceremonies I’ve ever witnessed.

The couple chose their dip kiss—just after walking down the aisle—as the moment to capture on canvas. Because of the chapel’s narrow aisle and limited space, we stepped outside after the ceremony and had them recreate the pose so I could find the perfect angle. Between that, the fresh light after the rain, and their deep connection, I had everything I needed to tell their love story in paint.

Later, during the lively reception, I set up my easel and painted as drums played, guests danced, and curious kids came over to watch the painting come to life. It was a true celebration! The energy in the room was electric, and the support from everyone made it such a joy to create.

At the end of the night, I was invited to present the finished painting on the main stage. Watching Joshly and Emmanuel’s reaction—and hearing the cheers from their guests—was the perfect ending to a day that was both reverent and joy-filled.
