Capturing Love and Christmas Magic: A Live Wedding Painting at The Barns at Wesleyan Hills

As a live wedding painter, I am constantly amazed by the unique love stories and beautiful settings that each wedding brings. Recently, I had the pleasure of painting at the stunning rustic New England venue, The Barns at Wesleyan Hills in Middletown, CT. What made this wedding even more special was the enchanting Christmas theme that Caroline and Michael chose to celebrate their love amidst the warmth of the holiday season.

Caroline and Michael’s love for Christmas and their devotion to gathering with family and friends made The Barns at Wesleyan Hills the perfect backdrop for their special day. The ambiance of the venue, with its big window casting soft light over the rustic warm woods and twinkling lights, created a magical atmosphere that perfectly complemented their vision. Christmas trees adorned with delicate floral accents added an extra touch of festive charm to the scene.

Working with Caroline and Michael was an absolute pleasure, and I was thrilled to include their parents in the painting, capturing not just the love between the couple but also the bonds of family that surrounded them on this joyous occasion. The canvas, sized 24 x 36 inches, served as my artistic canvas as I worked in acrylics on location, capturing the essence of the moment. Back in my studio, I added a layer of oil paints to refine the painting, ensuring that every detail reflected the beauty and emotion of the day.

Caroline and Michael chose to take advantage of my framing services, and I’m excited to share that my trusted framer is currently crafting the perfect frame for their painting as I write this post. It’s moments like these that remind me of the privilege it is to be part of my couples’ special day and to create a timeless piece of art that will serve as a symbol of their love and commitment for years to come.
